WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT HAYFEVER

Hay fever (also called allergic rhinitis/conjunctivitis) is a common allergic condition. Hay fever symptoms are often triggered by exposure to allergens in the air such as pollen or animal dander. When these allergens come into contact with wet body surfaces (such as your nose, eyes or mouth) hayfever sufferers’ bodies  sees it as a harmful foreign invader and release chemicals (such as histamine) to stop it’s entrance. Histamine causes inflammation, itchiness, redness and sneezing.

Although not a serous medical condition, hayfever can have a negative impact on peoples lives and make sleeping and going about your daily business hard. Luckily, hayfever can be easily managed with the proper treatments.
