Unusual Vaginal Discharge (Thrush & BV)

We offer treatment for women with thrush or bacterial vaginosis experiencing vaginal discharge accompanied by itching, unusual colour, consistency or smell.

About unusual vaginal discharge

Changes to vaginal discharge and symptoms such as itchiness are common. A bit of white discharge, especially at the beginning or end of your menstrual cycle, is normal.  However, if you develop itching, odour, smelly discharge, or a change in the colour or texture of your vaginal discharge, this may be caused by thrush (candida) or bacterial vaginosis (BV). These conditions are easily treated with the right care.

If you think you may have a sexually transmitted infection (STI), we can help with testing and treatment here.

    Who can we treat?

We can treat people aged 14 and over with typical symptoms of vaginal thrush or BV. You don’t need a swab if your symptoms are clear-cut.
