GeneralPractice - care from the clinician you choose
GeneralPractice is for routine, new, or ongoing health needs, the kind of care you'd usually see a GP for. You book ahead with your preferred advanced clinician, whether that's a doctor, nurse practitioner, nurse prescriber, or physician associate. Whoever you see works within our care team under the oversight of a Clinical Director, so you can rest assured you'll get the care you need.
Because it's pre-booked, same-day appointments may not be available.
Is GeneralPractice Right for Me?
GeneralPractice is for health needs that need a full appointment with a clinician of your choice, rather than a quick or urgent visit. You need to be enrolled with WeCare to book.

GeneralPractice is a good fit if you:
- Have a new non-urgent health concern that isn't on our CareNow menu
- Have a routine, ongoing, or complex health issue to manage
- Are due for a medication review and want to discuss changes or other issues as well
- Want to book ahead with your preferred advanced clinician
- Need a service like minor surgery, a driver's licence medical, or an ADHD assessment

CareNow may not be the right fit if you:
- Have a single, common condition you want sorted quickly - try CareNow
- Have an acute illness or injury that needs seeing today - try Drop-inCare
- Just need a routine medication review - book a nurse-led review, or use MedDirect
- Have a life-threatening emergency - call 111 or go to the emergency department
If GeneralPractice isn't the right fit, we'll point you to the right care. Try CareNow for a single common condition, Drop-inCare for urgent problems, or MedDirect for routine medication management.
What GeneralPractice Offers
