About Haemorrhoids
Haemorrhoids are swollen blood vessels in or around the rectum that can cause pain, discomfort, itching, and sometimes bleeding. They are often caused by straining during bowel movements, sitting for long periods, or pregnancy. We can offer short-term treatment if you've been diagnosed previously, and your symptoms are mild.
Who can we treat?
We can treat people aged 18 years and older who have previously been diagnosed with haemorrhoids and have symptoms that match a typical flare.
We can only see you through this service if you have already been diagnosed with haemorrhoids.
How can we help?
We’ll assess your symptoms and can offer appropriate topical treatment and advice.
- Prescription medication - suppository or ointment
- Advice on symptom relief and preventing flare-ups
