Dr Brian Ko leads WeCare as Managing Director, bringing together clinical expertise and strategic leadership to transform the delivery of primary care in Aotearoa. He has played a key role in designing and scaling WeCare’s innovative service models, including CareNow, MedDirect, and our integrated 7-day health hubs.

Brian is passionate about building high-performing teams and creating systems that make care more accessible, affordable, and effective. His leadership reflects WeCare’s mission of delivering fast, patient-centred healthcare backed by a collaborative, values-driven clinical team.

Dr John Ko is WeCare’s Medical Director, bringing deep clinical insight and leadership to the development of innovative, patient-focused care models. With extensive experience across both hospital and primary care, he helps guide WeCare’s clinical direction and supports the quality of care across our network.

John is passionate about innovating and improving how primary care is delivered - making it more accessible and responsive to the real needs of patients. His leadership supports WeCare’s mission to provide fast, affordable healthcare through a collaborative, values-led team.

Kadie Watts is Executive Director at WeCare focusing on strategy and business development. She plays an instrumental role in the development of new ventures, services, and systems that support WeCare’s vision of accessible, patient-focused healthcare.

With a background in primary care nursing and extensive leadership experience, Kadie brings a deep understanding of frontline care to strategy and innovation. She is passionate about reshaping primary care through smart system design, team-based models, and technology that improve access and long-term sustainability.
